Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced very finely
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Finely mince the garlic cloves until almost paste-like so the flavor distributes evenly throughout the dip. For a milder flavor, lightly sauté the garlic in a small pan with a little oil for about 1 minute before using.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise and sour cream. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in the parmesan cheese, minced garlic, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until fully combined.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dip for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend and deepen.

Notes

For a milder garlic flavor, lightly sauté the garlic before mixing it into the dip. Freshly grated parmesan creates the smoothest texture and richest flavor. Chill for at least 15 minutes before serving for the best taste. Add parsley, Italian seasoning, or crushed red pepper flakes for extra flavor variations.
